Had a short two night break here mid August . We had a lovely room with a bay window looking over the bay to Cumbrae. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night which was excellent as were the breakfasts. Loads of choice. Staff were very friendly . A walk downhill into town one way or the yacht marina the other way.
The Haylie Hotel is a small hotel, but we found it very cozy, with great views outside our windows and nice and clean bedrooms. We had a somewhat larger room as we are 4 in our family. Large bathroom with a luxurious shower. The bed was very comfortable, the extendable sofa a bit less (even though it was very large). Service has been first class, with the staff going to great lengths to accommodate any request. They were also very sweet. We had dinner on our last evening at the hotel, and the food was top notch: their fillet was the best one I had in Scotland. Lots of choices for breakfast: pretty much everything is homemade and delicious. Definitely recommend!
We went for an overnight stay at The Haylie hotel and we had a great time. All the staff and the owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome from the second that we walked in the door. The room had a sea view, and it was a really good size with an en-suite shower room which looked like it had been refurbished recently. When we booked the hotel we had no idea how good the restaurant within the building was. The food at dinner was wonderful and the breakfast was as well.
Lovely hotel, rooms very comfortable. Friendly staff and breakfast excellent. Only here for 1 night but will be back if in the area. Would recommend
Lovely, quirky older building with views around the bay from the bay window. Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely stay there again.
I have the greatest experience in long time. This was a work related trip, and I was supposed to share the room with another couple. I travel with my dog, ( a rescued dog ), and thank God this is a pet friendly place. Well, the owner gave me a separate room simply because he felt all the empathy in this world for my dog. I cannot thank this beautiful person enough. The Hotel is comfortable, quiet, secure, conveniently located, and breakfast rocks ... !. I recommend this Hotel 100%.
I had a lovely stay here last night, the staff are lovely, super friendly towards my dog sagittarius I loved that The young lady who served me breakfast was a sweetheart, she made me extra toast & got me a takeaway cup of water, it's the little things for me My room was really nice & cozy I'd definitely go back
